Musafir, or “traveller” represents the next stage in Masala’s musical journey. In this album, the group has pushed itself to address deeper and more meaningful issues through music. From mental wellness to South Asian identity, these past few years have represented exploration and maturity for the group and for our music. Through innovative arrangements and our signature a cappella sound, we want to draw focus to important issues of our identity while challenging ourselves to push new musical frontiers.
